The gap we found
What families actually needed
Like many families, we found ourselves trying to balance work, family life and an elderly parent living independently. We realised there was a gap between what family could realistically provide and what traditional care services offered.
What was needed wasn't medical care. It was someone trustworthy who had time to pop in and check on our parent's welfare, prepare lunch, sort out a technology problem, take them to an appointment, help in the garden, do a bit of light tidying, or simply spend an hour breaking up a monotonous day.
The list was never exhaustive. There were so many small situations where we just needed a bit of help.
Our goal is to help people remain happy, independent and connected in their own homes for as long as possible, while giving families the reassurance that someone caring and dependable is there when they can't be.
